3 Reasons Why You Should Feed Your Baby Organic Baby Food

As a dental practice management consultant with a new baby, I wanted fresh foods that were safe and healthy for my baby to eat. Unfortunately, the options for finding healthy foods are pretty small, and the food that is available is not completely natural. If this is a concern to you, like it was to me, perhaps you should research options for organic baby food.

While organic baby food is a healthy and safe option as opposed to processed food, many new parents are worried about the increased price that usually goes along with buying organic products. People who are first-time parents wonder if organic versus non-organic and/or processed foods really make a difference. As it turns out, it does, and there are three reasons why you should switch your infant to organic baby food.

1. Organic Baby Food Is Healthy

Many processed baby foods, while easy to find, have added preservatives, unnatural sugars and ingredients, such as high-fructose corn syrup. Not only could it create metabolic issues, but it could cause temperament problems and tooth decay requiring a dental consulting appointment. This doesn’t appear to be the case with organic foods, which use natural sugars and little salt or sodium. While there is no clear-cut scientific proof, many parents have come forward to claim that feeding their babies an organic food diet has been beneficial to the babies’ overall health and temperament.

2.  The Availability of Your Options

As organic food products have grown in popularity in the past decade, there are now more flavor options available in the market for babies. One option is distributed by Earth’s Best Organic, a food supplier for families, which includes a line of baby foods featuring all-natural jarred apples, carrots, pears, spinach, beets and peas, in addition to organic formula and rice cereals.

3.  You Can Make Your Own Organic Baby Food

The third option is to make your own baby food. Many homemade baby recipes are available in bookstores and on the Web. You can either buy organic ingredients to make your baby’s food, and some parents even grow their own vegetable gardens! Good health for your baby is the number one reason to feed them a diet of organic foods, as have greater control and knowledge about the ingredients used in the food.

While organic food is becoming a popular option for parents to give to their babies, many companies are now selling organic food designed for the picky palates of toddlers, too. With the dentists and oral surgeons that I work with, I implement dental marketing ideas that advocates organic nutrition with parents in order to ensure that their children have healthy systems and fewer dental visits!
