Should a first time offender for shoplifting plead guilty?

A 22 year old girl steals 4 DVD’s from wal-mart. On the way out she got pulled into an office, forced to give back the merchandise, and given a paper saying she has to appear in court. the total worth of the dvds was about $25. This girl has no priors, a clean record. Should she plead guilty when she goes to her court date?

Most obviously that squeaky clean girl was recorded on closed circuit surveillance stashing the merchandise and removed the merchandise from under her clothing in frount of a security guard, She can plead any thing she wants but she is guilty as sin and will forever have a police record.
